Muslim healthcare professionals form the significant proportion of the Australian Health Workforce. Our membership body reflects the diversity of professions, grades, ethnicities and localities with the Muslims workforce.

Hon Minister Sophie Cotsis, MP, Member for Canterbury and Minister for Workplace Health and Safety and Industrial Relations, speaking in NSW Parliament on 24th May 2023, acknowledging and appreciating the Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) national conference and various health promotion and prevention activities done by AIMA members.

It’s great to note such formal recognition in NSW Parliament highlighted and acknowledged the positive contributions of Australian Muslim healthcare professionals who are working together on AIMA’s platform, serving and giving back positively to the Australian community in many ways.

AIMA holds its first inaugural conference

More than 300 medical professionals joined the two-day inaugural conference of the Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) in Sydney on Sat 13-Sun 14 May 2023 and while networking discussed a variety of topics intersecting modern medicine and Islamic ethics.
