On Sunday 29 March 2026, AIMA South Australia hosted its very first dental event at the Al-Salam Community Centre, Marion Mosque in Park Holme — a milestone occasion that brought together community members to explore the importance of oral hygiene in Islam.
Presenter Rifatool Masud Akanda, a final year dental student, led an engaging session covering the Islamic significance of oral health and the role of the miswak as a natural and powerful tool for dental care, alongside practical guidance on how to better care for our teeth in everyday life.
