The Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) NSW Sydney Chapter hosted a warm and memorable iftar gathering on Saturday 21 February 2026, in Auburn, NSW — coming together in the blessed first days of Ramadan.
The event exceeded expectations in attendance, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, reflecting the strong sense of community and belonging that AIMA continues to foster among Muslim medical professionals and their families.
The success of the evening is a testament to the tireless efforts of the AIMA NSW leadership team, led by Dr Elhassan Elabbas and Sara Yusuf, along with a dedicated group of volunteers who gave generously of their time and resources to serve the community.
Members expressed heartfelt gratitude and congratulations across the board, with many noting the warmth of the occasion and expressing their eagerness to attend future events.
AIMA NSW looks forward to continuing to build these meaningful connections within the community. Alhamdulillah.
