The Australian Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) New South Wales hosted its first-ever interview workshop for prospective undergraduate medical students on the Saturday 15 November 2025.
The day began on Zoom, where the AIMA team hosted a webinar featuring tips and tricks on how to answer interview questions for different medical schools in NSW. Students had a great variety of questions to ask the team and did not shy away from taking the opportunity to answer questions when given the chance.
Later in the day, the group was split into smaller groups to facilitate the mock interviews. Unfortunately, some students could not make it to the event; however, this allowed the students who did attend to receive focused one-on-one feedback from our fantastic team of volunteers.
Finally, the day concluded with the volunteers giving broad feedback on each of the stations.
The student reach was impressive, with attendees joining from interstate for both the webinar and the mock interview.
