AIMA NT hosts picnic for healthcare workers and their families

The Northern Territory Chapter of the Australian Islamic Medical Association hosted its annual picnic on Sunday 3 August 2025 at Ted Rowe Park, Muirhea, bringing together healthcare workers and their families for a day of connection, relaxation and community spirit.

This gathering was more than just a picnic – it was a chance for doctors, medical students, allied health professionals and their families to step away from their busy schedules and strengthen bonds outside of the workplace. Families enjoyed delicious food, outdoor activities and quality time together, while children had plenty of space to play and build friendships.

For healthcare workers, the event created a warm and welcoming environment to network, share experiences and support one another in both professional and personal capacities. It reflected the values of AIMA- promoting community and unity among Muslim health professionals.
