AIMA South Australia had a stall at Adelaide Multicultural Eid Festival (AMEF) on Saturday 27 – Sunday 28 April 2024 at Adelaide Showground.
The event is Adelaide’s biggest multicultural festival and is a self-funding, not for profit community event which draws and binds people of all different cultures and ethnic backgrounds together to celebrate Eid. In partnership with Human Appeal, a portion of proceeds were sent to Gaza.
The AIMA SA team engaged with the Adelaide Muslim community with conversations about BMI and provided health education on topics such as blood pressure, diabetes and womens health.
They also promoted AIMA activities with handing out flyers and pamphlets on upcoming events, including their Metabolic Syndrome & Obesity Symposium to be held on Saturday 11 May 2024.
