Sunshine Coast Engages with Indigenous Community

The new Sunshine Coast chapter of AIMA extended its service to the wider community.

AIMA SC co-chair Dr Zaheerodin Bhikoo, Respiratory Physician at SCUH, took the opportunity to collaborate with the local Indigenous Health Well Persons Day held at University of Sunshine Coast on Saturday 25 October 2025. He was joined by fellow AIMA SC executives who volunteered their time and expertise to assist in a number of screening health checks, improving health awareness and promoting preventitive strategies.

This gesture was warmly welcomed and appreciated by the Indigenous Health organisers and the community. In Sha Allah this is a start to future community engagement activities. Next year we intend to set up our own AIMA SC stall at the Well Persons Day and offer more services to the community while demonstrating the principles of serving humanity as taught by our deen.
