Are you interested in representing the Australian Islamic Medical Association at the 22nd International Camp for Medical Students?

This is a unique opportunity to connect with Muslim medical students from around the world! Spots are limited, so be sure to fill out the Expression of Interest form to be considered. Selected students will gain the chance to:

Build lasting relationships with fellow Muslim medical students
Exchange valuable information and experiences
Enhance communication and networking skills across student chapters
Participate in leadership training and develop strong organizational skills

Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Schedule:

Arrival: Friday, November 8, 2024
Camp Dates: Saturday, November 9 - Wednesday, November 13, 2024
Departure: Thursday, November 14, 2024

Travel Details

Travel expenses are self-funded by you(Visa, Flights, Taxis, Buses, Trains etc.)
Local accommodation and meals are provided by the local hosts for AIMA-nominated attendees
Course fees are covered by the local hosts
AIMA will not provide any funding for this course.

Eligibility Criteria

• Medical, dental, nursing or allied health students

• Registered student member of AIMA

• Past involvement and volunteer work with AIMA activities
• Demonstrated commitment to contributing to AIMA’s work in the future

Each submission will be assessed, and only selected applicants will be invited to the camp.

The 22nd International Camp for Medical Students 2024 is organised by the Islamic Medical Association Saudi Arabia (IMAKSA) and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), in collaboration with the Indonesian Islamic Medical Association (IIMA).

Camp Etiquette and Expectations(Required)

Follow Islamic Guidelines: All participants are expected to adhere to Islamic principles, including dress code, conduct, and behavior throughout the camp.
Attend All Camp Events: Participants are required to attend all scheduled activities, workshops, and events to maximize their learning experience and contribution.
Respect and Cooperation: Maintain a respectful attitude towards all attendees, camp staff, and facilitators. Cooperation and positive engagement are key to a successful experience.
Commitment to Participation: Full participation is expected in both formal and informal activities, as this fosters community building and personal development.
Represent AIMA Professionally: As representatives of AIMA, students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.
